Sen. Hillary
Clinton’s Pennsylvania win certainly could not obstruct the Illinois senator Barack Obama from moving ahead. Obama is still in the driver’s seat; he is still leading Clinton by some 138 delegates.
Clinton won 83 while Obama won 73 delegates from Pennsylvania. Their contest now proceeds to Indiana and North Carolina (6 May). Clinton desperately needs to win the both, if she’s to catch Obama.
Overall, Obama currently has 1738 delegates, which include his 1489 pledged delegates and 249 superdelegates.
While, Clintion trails Obama with 1600 delegates, which include her 1333 pledged delegates and 267 superdelegates.
That means, Obama still needs 286 more delegates, while Clinton needs 424 more delegates to win the Democratic Party’s nomination.
