Oklahoma is one of the strongholds of Republicans, and John McCain has been leading in the state since February. The recent Oklahoma opinion polls have shown McCain has over 30 % points’ lead over Obama. Oklahoma has 7 electoral college votes.

Survey USA’s Obama vs McCain OK Poll, conducted from Sep 5 to Sep 7, showed McCain leading Obama by 33 % points— 65 % to 32 % among the registered voters of Oklahoma.

Rasmussen Reports’ McCain vs Obama OK Poll, conducted on Sep 11, showed McCain leading Obama by 31 % points— 63 % to 32 % among the registered voters of Oklahoma. According to the poll, McCain is currently given a 95.0  % chance of winning Oklahoma’s seven Electoral College votes this fall.

American Research Group's OK poll, conducted between September 15-18, showed McCain leading Obama by 27 % points— 61 % to 34 % among the registered voters of Oklahoma.
