Alaska Governor, Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, is
scheduled to make several campaign appearances in Florida next week. With less than a month left until the Election Day, national polls indicate Palin and running mate John McCain having fallen behind Barack Obama.
A critical battleground state, Florida has 27 electoral votes up for grabs. On October 6, Monday, Palin will hold ‘Road to Victory’ rallies in Clearwater and Fort Myers.
On October 7, Tuesday, Palin is scheduled to be in Jacksonville and Pensacola. In fact, the demand for tickets in Pensacola was so overwhelming that the rally previously scheduled at the smaller Pensacola Aviation Center, has now been moved.
According to the campaign announcement on Saturday, Palin will speak Tuesday at the Pensacola Civic Center, a 10,000 seat arena. All tickets previously issued will be valid at the new location, and additional tickets that are being printed, will be distributed to area campaign offices.
In fact, tickets for the event are already available at Bay County Republican Party Headquarters, and will also be made available at the Republican Party booth at Oktoberfest, in the 400 block of Harrison Avenue.
