Washington, January 28 : Former U. S senator John Edwards and wife Elizabeth may soon get a divorce.

Elizabeth’s friend Andrea Purse has revealed that the attorney wants to move on in life after Edwards admitted that he had fathered a child with campaign videographer Rielle Hunter.

"Elizabeth is moving on with her life and wants to put this difficult chapter behind her," the Washington Post quoted Purse as telling People magazine.

Also, Elizabeth''s sister Nancy Anania said: "She said, ''I''ve had it. I can''t do this. I want my life back. I hear peace in her voice that I haven''t heard in a long time."

Since quitting the race in January, John Edwards has remained silent on which of his two formal rivals he plans to support.
