Polls: Obama’s Lead Over McCain Surges

The Democratic Party’s White House nominee, Barack Obama has scored a sizable lead over his Republican rival John McCain nationally, say the recent Obama, McCain polls. The polls conducted in last two weeks showed Obama leading McCain by some 4 to 6 % points.
NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, conducted on 11 June, showed Obama leading McCain by 6 % points – 47 % to 41 % among the registered voters nationally.
Reuters/Zogby poll, conducted from June 12-14, 2008, showed Obama leading McCain by 5 % points – 47 % to 45 % among the registered voters nationally.
Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll, conducted from June 17-18, 2008, showed Obama leading McCain by 4 % points – 45 % to 41 % among the registered voters nationally.
USA Today/Gallup poll, conducted from June 15-19, 2008, showed Obama leading McCain by 6 % points – 50 % to 44 % among the registered voters nationally.
Rasmussen Reports Tracking poll, conducted from June 17-19, 2008, showed Obama leading McCain by 4 % points – 48 % to 44 % among the registered voters nationally.
Obama really started surging when Newsweek poll, conducted from June 18-19, 2008, showed him leading McCain by 15 % points – 51 % to 36 % among the registered voters nationally.
Times/Bloomberg Poll, conducted over the weekend and published by the Los Angeles Times Tuesday, also showed Obama leading McCain by 15 % points – 48 % to 33 % among the registered voters nationally, in a four-man contest including independent candidate Ralph Nader and Libertarian Bob Barr. In a two-man race, Obama was leading McCain by 12 % points – 49% to 37%.
