Priscilla Presley Was One Of The Victims Of The Quack, Daniel Serrano

Well, Priscilla Presley recently got in the media spotlight when she acknowledged that she had once fallen victim to a phony quack, an unqualified plastic surgeon identified as Dr. Daniel Serrano.

In a statement released Tuesday, the 62-year-old Presley’s publicist Sam Mast said, "Priscilla Presley was one of many documented victims of Dr. Serrano. An investigation which uncovered his misconduct ultimately led to his imprisonment. Ms. Presley dealt with this matter years ago and everything is well."

According to reports, the phony doctor that injected Priscilla Presley with industrial-grade silicone used to lubricate auto parts. Serrano was a doctor in Argentina but unlicensed in the U.S. He claimed that he could remove wrinkles, much better than Botox using an all-natural drug that he said was used by all the top models in Paris. His claims made all the women go crazy. Serrano used to tell his victims they could not get the drug in the U.S.

Lionel Richie's now ex-wife, Diane, and Larry King's current missus, Shawn, have also been reported high profile victims of Dr. Daniel Serrano, who was arrested by federal agents in November 2004. The doctor was indicted for importing and distributing a synthetic substance not yet FDA-approved.

According to the Los Angeles Times reports, Serrano was found guilty in federal court in Los Angeles to conspiracy, smuggling and use of unapproved drugs in 2006. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison. He was released last week, and fell right into the open arms of U.S. media. That’s what brought the yesteryear diva Priscilla Presley in media spotlight.
