Ryan Reynolds, 31 and Scarlett Johansson, 23, who announced their engagement in May 2008, tied the knot in a small and personal weekend ceremony held at a resort outside Vancouver, British Columbia on Saturday, 27th September 2008.

Melanie Sloan, Scarlett’s mother and brother Adrian Johansson were among the guests who attended the quiet wedding that took place in the groom’s native Canada.

The first for both bride and groom, Ryan started dating Scarlett in February last year, soon after his engagement with singer Alanis Morisette was called off.  Announcing their engagement in May 2008, Scarlett since has been sporting a 3-carat diamond ring worth $30,000, reputedly a ring given by Ryan to mark their engagement.

While, no details about the nuptials are available, a representative of the actor who most recently starred in the Woody Allen film Vicky Cristina Barcelona confirmed Reynolds who starred in the TV show Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place and romantic comedy Definitely, Maybe had gotten married.
