The charity organization reported it was the Spears family, who came up with the idea of an auction for charity, donating the painting as part of their generosity.

Painted by Daniel Maltman Studio, the 5 x 4-ft. oil painting the accompanying letter of authenticity states: "I hereby verify that the portrait of my daughter, Britney, has been in our home since it was completed by the Daniel Maltman Studio."
