Bachmann announces 2012 White House bid at debate

Minnesota (US), June 14: Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, a favorite of the Tea Party movement, has said that she intends to make a formal announcement for a bid for the White House in 2012 soon.
According to the Bachmann, a third-term congresswoman and the first female contender to enter the 2012 race, has been leaning heavily toward a run over the past few months, visiting early primary states, raising money and railing against Obama.

DFL Senate candidate was joined by Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, a rousing rally at the University of Minnesota, in what Al Franken termed as “a true statewide grass-roots campaign.” Franken is waging a tough battle against Republican incumbent Norm Coleman, and Independence Party candidate Dean Barkley.
More than 1,500 supporters crammed into the McNamara Alumni Center of the University campus, and more than 600 were in an overflow room and outside.
Bachmann Retreats Her Comments About Obama’s Patriotism

The comments came during the course of a Friday night interview on MSNBC, when Bachmann asserted that Obama has a close connection to 1960s radical William Ayers. She said that Obama “had a very strong association with Bill Ayers.”
When asked by Chris Matthews whether she believes that Obama may have anti-American views, Bachmann replied: “Absolutely. I’m very concerned that he may have anti-American views.” She also said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, both Democrats, have “far-leftist views.”

states have been sickened with salmonella poisoning after eating ready to eat frozen dinners. The consumers apparently did not correctly follow the cooking instructions and cooked the meal in the microwave rather than the recommended conventional oven. The agency is urging consumers to follow the cooking instructions given for precooked frozen chicken entrees.

Molecular breast imaging (MBI) is the newest technology in breast cancer diagnosis. Under this technique a short-living radioactive agent is injected in patients. This radioactive agent is absorbed by breast tissue. Cancer cells absorb more of the radioactive agent than healthy cells. This agent is tracked with a specialized camera that can distinguish healthy tissue from breast cancer tumors.

According to Nielsen Media Research, approximately 37.2 million viewers tuned in for Palin’s speech, an astoundingly large number for a speech by someone who is not a presidential candidate.
The viewership was just a million lesser than that of Barack Obama’s historic acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention last week and it surpassed the viewership of Joe Biden’s last speech, which attracted 24 million viewers, by a comfortable margin.

A recent study has shown that moisturizers induced skin cancer in mice opening questions on their safety for humans. Four commonly used moisturizers Dermabase, Dermovan (a wholesale-only product discontinued in 2006), Eucerin Original Moisturizing Cream, and Vanicream were tested by researchers at Rutgers University, New Jersey, in the United States.
