With the rise in global temperatures, the possibility of kidney stones increasing are feared. A study by researchers from University of Texas examined how the effect of rising temperatures and increased dehydration increased incidences of kidney stones rates in the United States and around the world.
The findings reported in this week's issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, suggested that kidney stones may increase across the United States by as much as 30 percent in the most affected areas.
In a recent study conducted by the Texas A&M's Fruit and Vegetable Improvement Center, it was found that watermelons contain an ingredient called citrulline that can stimulate production of a compound, arginine, an amino acid that helps relax the body's blood vessels. The same effect is produced when a man takes viagra.

According to the researchers, watermelon was richer than they thought it would be in the amino acid called citrulline which relaxes and dilates blood vessels just like Viagra and other drugs used for erectile dysfunction.
A Houston couple, Ellen and Stephen Howell, was overwhelmed, when Ellen gave birth to five babies in less than 3 minutes, at an Airizona hospital, on Tuesday. Three girls and two boys have been named, Sidney, Ivy, Mithcell, Luke and Briellen.
