Tom Perriello, Fifth District Democratic congressional candidate, has asked television stations, including NBC29, to stop airing one of his opponent’s ads, saying that the ad is misleading. According to Perriello campaign, the ad, sponsored by Republican Congressman Virgil Goode’s reelection campaign, contains “a flat-out lie” and is “libelous.” Besides the dispute over offshore drilling, Perriello’s image used for the commercial is distorted and doctored.
