New York, Apr 7: Cable network TLC has announced its plans to host a royal wedding viewing party in New York''s Times Square.
People in the Big Apple will be able to see Prince William''s highly anticipated marriage to Kate Middleton on April 29 via jumbotrons at the New York City landmark.
The commentary will be provided via satellite as the reporters will be in London to witness the nuptials first-hand.
"Since so many of us in the US are caught up in the excitement of William and Kate''s wedding, we thought we would bring some of the festivities and live coverage across the pond to the hometown of TLC''s hit wedding series ''Say Yes to the Dress," the New York Post quoted Tom Carr, SVP of marketing at TLC, as saying in a statement.
"And if you''re going to celebrate the biggest wedding of the decade in NY, there is no better place to do it than in Times Square," he added.
The event will be produced by ITV Studios America, culminating 89 hours of Royal Wedding coverage on the cable network. (ANI)
