Two Men Arrested On Snoop Dogg’s Bus Tour

Two Men Arrested On Snoop Dogg’s Bus TourOn Thursday evening, two people were arrested on drugs charges after US rapper Snoop Dogg's tour bus was searched by Texas police. The incident happened just hours before the rapper was set to perform at Dallas' Superpages.com Center. Snoop is currently on tour with 311.

Initially the police in Dallas stopped the tour bus carrying rapper Snoop Dogg because of the vehicle's expired registration tags. But after cops got into the bus, they came out with two men, who were taken into custody and arrested on drug charges.

Ethan Calhoun, 27, and Kevin Barkey, 26, admitted possession of marijuana after the bus was pulled over. They were later released on bail, but face six months in jail and fines of up to $2,000 (£1,012), if convicted.

Police say, when they stopped the bus, they caught a whiff of marijuana and decided to conduct a quick search that led them to two ounces (56 grams) of the drug.

The rapper has also been involved in such situations previously. In 2006, he was arrested at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California, on drug and gun possession charges. In April of 2007, Snoop pleaded no contest to felony gun and marijuana charges, agreeing to five years' probation and 800 hours of community service.
