Tyra Banks Poses As Michelle Obama In Harper’s Bazaar

Tyra Banks Poses As Michelle Obama In Harper’s BazaarTyra Banks plays Michelle Obama for a new photo shoot in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

“[She’s] so warm and so gracious. She’s got that direct-eye-contact, truly-connecting thing. She’s not a ‘ha, ha, ha’ type… And I love that she’s tall,” Tyra said of Michelle Obama, presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s wife.

In one image, Tyra features posing in a dark colored dress and white pearls, while leaning on a leather chair in a room made up to look like the Oval Office. In another shot, Tyra emulates Michelle’s smile while posing in bed wearing Harvard sweatshirts with the Barack look-alike.

Banks seems to be highly impressed by the Obamas and is backing Barack Obama in his bid for the White House.

“When Barack won the nomination, I just started bawling,” Tyra told the magazine. “I started calling all these people, and everybody was talking to me like I was crazy. They’re like, ‘Well, he hasn’t won yet,’ but I’m like, ‘Yes, he has, because he’s gotten this far.’ I think he gives everybody so much hope.”

“So what gives me tears is if Barack Obama wins, kids are going to say that a black man can be president too,” Banks said. “I think it will give so many people- black, Latin, Asian, even white people that feel forgotten - hope. I did not think I would see it in my lifetime, and I’m only 34.”

“With Barack Obama, his becoming president is them becoming president because Michelle was there from the beginning,” Banks continued. “Without Michelle, he wouldn’t be there.”
