Washington Polls: Obama Has Sizable Lead Over McCain

Sen. Barack Obama is having a healthy lead over Sen. John McCain in Washington State — that’s what the recent Obama versus McCain Washington pre-election opinion polls say.
Obama is enjoying consecutive six month lead over McCain, in the presidential race in Washington. In the recent two opinion polls, conducted in the current month by Rasmussen Reports and Survey USA, Obama is showing sizeable lead over McCain.
Washington has 11 Electoral college votes. Here’s what the recent Obama versus McCain Washington pre-election opinion polls say —
Rasmussen Reports’ Obama McCain WA Poll, conducted on August 6, showed Obama leading McCain by 12% points — 54% to 42% among the registered voters of Washington. According to the poll, Obama currently has 87.0 % chance of winning Washington in November.
Survey USA’s McCain Obama WA Poll, conducted from August 11 to August 12, showed Obama leading McCain by 7% points — 51% to 44% among the registered voters of Washington.
