Sen. Hillary Clinton’s phase of defeats & debacles and failures & fiascos seems to have begun again when Sen. Barack Obama won Mississippi pretty handily.
Cowing Clinton comprehensively in Wyoming and Mississippi, Obama made fantastic comeback scoring two straight wins over the weekend.
There were total 33 delegates up for grab in Mississippi. According to the latest update on the Democratic Delegate Count, Obama has won 19 Mississippi delegates, while Clinton has won 14 delegates in Mississippi.
Obama’s Mississippi win and the recent MISSISSIPPI & TEXAS CAUCUS RESULTS have given him the total lead of “127 Democratic Delegates” over Clinton.
Total 193 delegates in Texas were up for grab. According to the latest Democratic Delegate Count, Obama has won 98 delegates in Texas, while Clinton has won 95 delegates in Texas. So, according to the latest Clinton, Barack Obama Texas caucus results , Obama has won Texas. The results of democratic delegates in a few other states are also pending. Obama won 65 while Clinton won 74 delegates in Ohio.
While Florida delegates are still unresolved issue, Obama presently leads Clinton in Pledged Delegates Count. Obama has 1403 Pledged Delegates, while Clinton has 1240 Pledged Delegates.
However, Clinton still leads Obama in Super Delegate count. Clinton has presently the support of 247 Super Delegates while Obama has 211 Super Delegates supporting him.
So, after the recent Mississippi Caucuses and Texas caucus results, Obama leads with 1614 delegates (1403 pledged delegates + 211 Super Delegates), while Clinton follows him with 1487 (1240 Pledged Delegates + 247 Super Delegates). Overall, Obama presently leads Clinton by 127 delegates. Official Pennsylvania polls are scheduled next month.
Total 2,025 democratic delegates are needed to win the democratic nomination. The final result will be determined aggregating the results of the remaining primaries. Here is the list of states left to vote in primary election.
