Auto maker VE Commercial Vehicles has recorded 14.16% growth in its total sales of Eicher trucks and buses in July which stood at 2,112 units.

In similar month during previous year, total sales figure of Eicher trucks stood at 1,850 units. The domestic sales of auto manufacturer also grew by 4.67% to 1,769 units, compared to 1,690 units in the same period a year ago.

Company's exports during the latest month grew by more than double and stood at 343 units compared to 160 units in the year ago period.

Sales of light commercial vehicles in the Indian market during the reporting month have witnessed a growth of 1.31% to 1,237 units, as against 1,221 units in July, 2008.

Heavy commercial vehicle sales, however, recorded a slump of 32.93 per cent at 110 units as against 164 units in July last year.
