Team India Opener Virender Sehwag has preserved his number one position in the recent ICC rankings for Test batsmen. India has also retained its top spot in the latest chart. Sehwag tops of the list with 863 points and is followed by South Africa's Hashim Amla. Amla has 842 points and is at the second spot. Former Sri Lanka skipper Mahela Jayawardene is at third position with 836 points.

Left-handed opener Gautam Gambhir and master blaster Sachin Tendulkar are the other two Indian batsmen who have managed to register themselves in top-10 list. Goutam is at number six while Sachin is at seventh positions with 824 and 805 points respectively.

The rankings of VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid were remained unaffected. They are at 14th and 16th spot respectively.

In the bowlers list, two players of India are in the top-10. Left arm simmer Zaheer Khan placed at number six followed by Harbhajan Singh. India is at the top position in the teams list with 124 points followed by South Africa with 120 points and Australia with 119 points.
