Wipro working towards becoming really global companyWorking towards becoming a really global company, Wipro will make its senior management team more diverse in terms of nationality and the one that has more women.

T K Kurien, chief executive of the Indian software giant, said that the company would have to be different in the future as it could not go on with traditional management structures.

Speaking on the topic, Kurien added, "About 37% of Wipro's population is women, but how many women do we have in senior management? About 88% of our business is outside India, but how many senior people do you see of different nationalities?"

He also announced the company's plan to recruit a special group of 100 fresh college graduates every year for the global edge. The freshers will be recruited from countries like India, Germany, France, South Africa, the UK and the US.

Each of the fresh graduates, who will be recruited after a deep psychometric process, will be made to play different roles in different countries. By serving the company in different roles in different countries, the company believes, they will become global citizens.

Wipro, India's third-largest software services provider, on Friday reported strong results for October-December period. Its sales jumped 5.5 per cent in India and the Middle East segment.
