World soon to witness four times increase in IP traffic by 2014The software service provider firm Cisco has released the latest edition of its Visual Networking Index, a forecast of global internet traffic that indicates a humongous increase in the Internet traffic in the times to come.

According to the recent report, it is estimated that by the year 2014 internet traffic will surge by a massive 91 per cent. This forecast suggests an overall surge in global traffic and is an indication that growth may move away from the UK, US and Europe as other markets develop a taste for being online.

According to the researchers, the main reason tainted against the same is the video sharing service, offered by sites such as YouTube, Viacom et al. And with the recent demands for faster broadband indicates an increase in viability to broadcast live events.

However someone will to have to pay the price for the increased traffic.
