Acer launches new Android Smartphone ‘Acer Liquid’Acer has announced that it will launch a new Android based Smartphone called the Acer Liquid in the Indian market.

The PC maker's new smartphone runs the Android 1.6 or Donut OS. It is based on the Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm. The phone comes with a price tag of Rs. 24,900.

Acer Liquid features a WVGA touchscreen measuring 3.5" and it supports HSPDA 7.2Mbps / HSUPA / GSM. It has a 1350mAh battery and also features an FM radio. The phone has an inbuilt memory of 256MB which can be expanded through a micro SD.

As for connectivity, it has inbuilt Wi-Fi and USB while it supports 3G services as well. The model also has a 5 Megapixel digital camera and supports Geo tagging.

The phone also supports various multimedia functions such as audio - video streaming, mobile browsing, social media connectivity and Nemo player along with a full-screen-preview task manager. The phone although does not offer social networking connectivity.

It also supports many other applications such as web applets, business application, games and more.
