Anna Hazare health is fine: Kiran Bedi

Anna Hazare health is fine: Kiran Bedi New Delhi, Aug 24 : Former IPS officer and civil society activist Kiran Bedi on Tuesday said social activist Anna Hazare’s health is fine and there was no need to worry.

Addressing the gathering at Ramlila ground, Bedi said: “Though Hazare''s health has deteriorated, however his condition is stable now and he is out of danger.

"This is entirely Anna''s own will power. And we are carrying it forward. But this is a mission which impacts all of us. And the sincerity and the determination with which he is doing, we are actually serving the cause. But when it comes to fast we would love to see him on a trip. It is his decision. But the fact is even if there is a dip in his blood pressure, we found out he is not in danger. Had he been in danger, we would have somehow or the other, ensured that Anna does not run into danger. That is where we will protect him," she said.

She stated that Dr. Naresh Trehan, who is heading the team of doctors attending Hazare have stated that Hazare''s condition is stable for the time being.

"I had a word with the police commissioner and when he was told that the doctor had informed that there would be no problems for the night, then why should the police commissioner worry? He is sleeping properly and Dr. Trehan has stated that he is fine and under control. Why should the police come then?" she said.

According to a health bulletin issued by the doctors treating Hazare, his blood pressure has shot up to 140/80 and pulse has increased to 82 per minute.

Hazare''s weight fell by 200 gm while the sugar level reached 106.

Ketone particles (created by the body during starvation) also have been increasing.

Hazare yesterday disregarded doctor''s advice to be put on Intravenous (IV) drip and refused to take any medicine. He has been sustaining only on water since August 16, when he started his fast. (ANI)
