Anup and Saina crashes out

Anup Sridhar, Saina NehwalIndian challenge in the Singapore Super Series ended on Friday as Anup Sridhar and Saina Nehwal lost their matches in the quarterfinals of the Singapore Super Series.

After defeating world No 2 Peter Gade in second round, Anup was unable to continue his good performance and lost match against Thai Boonsak Ponsana by 21-11 21-8 in the quarterfinal.

Indian ace shuttler Saina Nehwal also lost her quarterfinal match against Chinese world No 4 Lin Wang by 21-19 19-21 14-21.

Anup was completely outplayed by Thai Boonsak Ponsana while Sania was once in the position of winning the match against Lin Wang as she won first set by 21-11 but Lin Wang played brilliantly to win last two sets and also won the match.

Anup said that the main reason for his defeat against Thai Boonsak Ponsana was non-availability of "Plan-B" as Ponsana, who has a very sound defense, anticipated every shot he played.
