The Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has advised all his cabinet Badal Asked His Colleagues To Stop Making Irresponsible Statementscolleagues to refrain from making irresponsible statements. He said that the party and the government are entitled to full fill the aspirations of the people of the state on the basis of which it has come to the power. He said that all ministers and party colleagues must represent the vision and guidelines of party before their personal interests.

He also dismissed the views of state finance minister and his nephew, Manpreet Singh Badal on subsidies and freebies. The state finance minister has demanded review of financial position of the state and stressed the need to think again over subsidies. He suggested some tougher measures to meet the deficit of Rs 3,000 crore.

Badal said that his party is totally different from congress party that says different in election campaign and do different during governance.

The state public Relations Minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia also disapproved the views of state finance minister. He said that every one in the government must respect the collective decision of cabinet. 

He also said that the behavior of United Progress Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre is not fair as far as Punjab is concerned. He also advocated the continuity of pro-poor and people friendly welfare policies such as subsidies, pensions, free-power, cheaper flour and pulses for the poor people.
