Indian automotive major, Bajaj is planning to launch its new Pulsar 375 motor bike this year in the Indian market to compete better with both domestic and global rivals in the country.

The upcoming Pulsar 375 will be based on KTM 390 and will be powered by a 375cc engine based on KTM 390. The new bike will become the most powerful model in the popular Pulsar family of motor bikes. The high power engine will allow the riders to reach a top speed of 150kmph on roads. It is believed that the new Pulsar 375 model might be priced below the KTM 390 indicating the company will offer the bike with a price tag of below Rs. 2 lakhs in the country.

Meanwhile, Rajiv Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Auto has hinted that the company might launch two new models in the country this year. It is believed that the company might also launch a new Pulsar 150-180cc variant, which will be based on the Pulsar 200 NS, and will help Bajaj fill the gap between Bajaj and rival manufacturers.

"We have several launches lined up for this year. There are at least two new Pulsars- one that will be smaller than the Pulsar 200cc and another that will be much bigger. This is going to help us defend our leadership in this space and that is very important for us," said Mr. Bajaj.
