The second biggest two- wheeler manufacturer in India, Bajaj Auto reported the highest ever sales in its history of motorcycle sales in a month today – that of 3,14,515 units for the month of September, recording a 26.24 per cent leap for the same month last year.

Last year, Bajaj Auto had made a sale of 2,49,133 units in September, according to a statement made by the company.

The highest sales figure achieved by the company, based in Pune, was made especially by the robust performance by its premium motorbikes Pulsar and Discover 100.

In fact, Bajaj Auto Limited's exported products numbering 26.37 per cent higher, a figure of 1,01,960 units last month, compared to last year September’s figure of 80,681 units.

The company also saw an increase 22.92 per cent in the sales of its three-wheelers in the last month with a figure of 38,254 units as compared to the figure of 31,121 units of September last year.

The net sales of the vehicles of the company in the last month totaled to 3, 52,769 units as against the 2, 80,916 units sold last year in September. There has been a total growth of 25.58 per cent overall.
