Retail giant, Best Buy is offering impressive discounts on Apple's newly released MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models.

The retailer is offering Retina Pro with 8GB of memory and a 512MB solid-state drive model for $2,659.99 compared to $2,799.99. The cheapest Retina display model is now priced $110 lower at $2,089.99. The price of New MacBook Airs fell to $949.99 from $999.99.

Apple had recently launched the new MacBook Pro, with a shiny new high-definition screen. The model features Intel's new "Ivy Bridge" third-generation i series processors and comes with upgraded HD 4000 graphics silicon and USB 3.0 ports. The new MacBook Pro models also feature impressive 2880-by-1800 pixel density Retina display and an Nvidia GeForce GT 650M graphics chip.

The discounts are only available for in-store sales through the company's stores. The discounts are believed to be temporary as Best Buy changes its prices frequently.

Even as the discounts offered by Best Buy are not as deep as those offered under the student discount program from Apple, the retail giant is expected to attract some new users to the device and boost sales.
