Blast rocks Pakistani garrison town
Islamabad - A blast hit Pakistan's garrison town of Rawalpindi on Monday, causing casualties, media reports said.
The explosion took place outside a hotel, located a few hundred metres from the Pakistani Army's headquarters which was raided by Taliban militants last month.
Geo News, a private television channel, cited witnesses as saying that there were "several bodies and injured" at the scene.
There was no immediate official word of casualties.
Television footage showed police cordoning off the blast site, with ambulances and emergency vehicles moving to the scene. (dpa)
