Bollywood Directors Look Forward To In 2011

Kiran RaoBollywood has a lot of action in store in the New Year, in terms of films that are to be released with the touch of debutant directors. The most promising amongst the lot are names like Kiran Rao, Rohit Dhawan, and Ali Abbas Zafar etc.

Kiran Rao is one of the most talented young directors who are soon going to be coming with her dream project Dhobi Ghat. This movie has the under currents of the basic matrix of society in four different sections as is in real life on the streets of Mumbai.

The various strata of society and the typical mind sets have been reportedly captured very intricately in the film, thereby making it one of the most awaited films of the year.

Rohit Dhawan, the talented young son of the veteran film maker David Dhawan is yet another name that has a promising year ahead. His first debut film as director was supposed to be Come on Pappu with stars like Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor etc.

However, the project never really took off due to the fact that the production house, Percept Picture Company had not gone ahead due to lack of funds. After that the director tried to work on his own script with John and Akshay in the lead but that too did not work out. This time the director is working on a project with Eros which has John Abraham and Akshay Kumar in the lead portraying the roles of pole dancers in a strip club. This project is being touted as a big enterprising one.

Ali Abbas Zafar is yet another director who is touted to be a promising one with his venture Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, which has Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead. This young director has earlier worked in big projects as the first assistant director in films like New York, Taashan, Badmaash Company etc.

Well with Bollywood gearing up to launch so many new directors, the audiences are certainly going to be spoilt for choice this whole year!
