Brit engineer scoops nearly £3m on lottery in first online attempt!

London, March 18 :£3m on lottery in first online attempt! A British electrical engineer is planning to buy a Bentley and a French vineyard after winning a Lotto jackpot of nearly 3 million pounds.

It was the first time that Peter had bought lottery tickets on the web.

The 37-year-old, who has used the same numbers for the past 13 years, said that he was too ill to go out for a ticket.

He said he felt "sick" after seeing his numbers of 1, 13, 26, 38, 41 and 47 drawn in the game after buying his ticket online.

"I've been off sick from work and I went online so I didn't have to go out. Now I am trying to decide whether I shall go back to work at all,” the Mirror quoted him, as saying.

He won the jackpot of 2,855,067 pounds, but said he had also won 10 pounds with his work syndicate at Western Power Distribution.

Workmate Steve Fry said: "He's a smashing guy and nobody deserves it more than him - apart from me. I have to admit I'm dead jealous."

Peter, who is single, said that he would buy a holiday chateau in Loire, France, close to his retired parents' home.

"I picked 13 as my lucky number because I have always thought of myself as unlucky,” he said. (ANI)
