BSF registers strong objection to Pakistan Rangers over rocket shelling incidentsAmritsar, Jan. 11 : Conveying a strong message over the issue of rocket shelling from the Pakistan’s soil, the Border security force has reportedly warned Pakistan’s Rangers against such incidents, as Border guards of India and Pakistan held a DIG level meeting at Attari land border on Saturday.

Notably after the third incident in six month, over 10 rockets were lobbed from the Pakistan soil in to Indian Territory. In retaliation Indian border gourds open fired with machine gun and mortar towards.

Since Pakistan denied its hand in the rocket-shelling, the BSF called a special DIG level meeting to discuss the issue with their counterpart.

BSF officials even showed the parts of the rockets fired from Pakistan, however, Pakistan authorities declined their involvement in the incidents.

Pakistan Rangers, however, have assured Indian officials that they would try to locate the responsible persons who have launched those rockets into Indian territory.

The meeting lasted for over half-an-hour. Pak delegation was led by Wing Commandent Salim Sher Zangh, whereas Indian border Guards, was led by Mohammed Aquil, DIG BSF ( border Range). (ANI)
