World famous investor, Warren Buffett has said that the US economy has shown some real strength in the last couple of months. He also said that the consumers can now spend more as the things are moving for the better.

The billionaire appeared on a TV show, CNBC Monday after getting over with the shareholders meeting of Berkshire Hathaway. In the show, Buffett was accompanied by his partner and long time friend, Charlie Munger.

As many as 37,000 people attended the meeting to hear the two key people of Berkshire speak and answer all the queries.

Buffett said that since demand is again gaining strength, goodness is expected in the future.

He further added that his company has shown strength and that most of it is noticeable in the ones that supply to other companies.

Sadly, he said that the retail business of Berkshire, Fruit of the Loom and The Pampered Chef, have not picked up.

But the luxury goods segment of his has shown commendable results. Just last week, the Nebraska Furniture Mart was able to sell $35 million worth of goods.
