The residents of Delhi have been facing dense smog since few days and sun appeared only yesterday in some parts of the city. Environmentalists are blaming smog on rising pollution in the capital for the dense cover of smog in the city.

The Central Pollution Control Board has said that the smog has increased with the increase in the number of vehicles in the country. The city made immense gains in improving its air quality after making a shift to CNG in 2001 for its public transport system. However, experts say that the benefits are fading away over time and steps are required to be taken to reduce the pollution level in the city.
