Clarke says Oz regaining world No.1 spots 'most satisfying day or feeling in career'

Michael ClarkeSydney, May 2 : Australian captain Michael Clarke has said that his team being re-named the top Test and ODI sides in the world is the 'most satisfying day or feeling in his career'.

Australia's elevation above South Africa in Tests has come as results from 2010-11, when Australia was beaten 2-0 by India and 3-1 by England, were stripped off each nation's points, and Tests played in 2012 and last year lost 50 per cent of their weighting.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, although the timing of the rankings robbed Australia of the opportunity for another round of celebrations, with players spread around the world now, however, Clarke said that it did not matter as he guaranteed that every Australian player will enjoy the news, timings notwithstanding.

Clarke further said that as captain of this team through the last couple of years and the struggles and disappointments they have been through, he believes he has had a 'most satisfying day or feeling in his career'. (ANI)
