Color Line to withdraw service between Hirtshals and Oslo

Kiel - Color Line has cancelled its route from Hirtshals in Denmark to Oslo.

The Princess Ragnhild will travel the route for the last time on May 5 when it will be put up for sale, according to the Norwegian company's office in Kiel.

Passengers who have tickets for voyages after May 6 will be accommodated on Color Line's other ships.

Color Line says it will contact all passengers travelling in May by telephone.
Anyone due to travel later in the year will be notified by post.

Color Line says it plans to concentrate on four routes in future.

Two short routes from Hirtshals will be serviced with SuperSpeed ships to Kristiansand and Larvik in southern Norway.

The company plans to maintain its service between Sandefjord and Stroemstad in Sweden.

The vessels Color Fantasy and Color Magic ply the route between Kiel and Oslo. (dpa)
