Senthil Chengalvarayan to lead Network18 integrated business newsroom

Senthil-ChengalvarayanNew Delhi, July 12 : Network18 Group Friday announced setting up of an integrated business newsroom comprising its leading broadcast and digital news outlets in the business media space under Senthil Chengalvarayan as editor-in-chief.

The group in a statement said CNBC-TV18, CNBC Awaaz, CNBC-TV18 Prime HD and Moneycontrol. com will now function as part of this larger editorial set-up.

B Saikumar, who has been working as the COO of the Network18 Group, will also join the boards of Viacom18 and Homeshop18 and will report to Raghav Bahl, who I the founder of the Rs 2,500 crore media giant.

Network18 to sell the Indian Film Company to RoptonalNetwork18 Media & Investments announced today of its acceptance of an offer by a subsidiary of the company Viacom 18 Media Private Ltd., called Roptonal Limited in Cyprus. It will buy all the shareholding of London-listed The Indian Film Company (TIFC) for 115.56 pence.

The directors of Roptonal Limited proposed the order for the published share capital of TIFC, according to what the Network18 Media said to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
