At the closing ceremony of H. P. Cricket League Tournament Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh said that efforts will be made to build cricket stadiums in all the districts of Himachal Pradesh.

He further said that if possible this process of building new cricket stadium will be continued for each sub divisions and tehsils so that cricket can be promoted to the grass root level in Himachal Pradesh.

Anurag Thakur, MP and President, HPCA said that total 12 cricket stadiums will be constructed in the districts of Himachal which will cost Rs 50 crore. 1018 team had taken part in the H. P. Cricket League Tournament.

In the closing ceremony of H. P. Cricket League Tournament, a cash award of Rs 3 lakh was given to the Cricket team from Poanta Sahib, the winner of the tournament, while Bitta XI team of Una won runner trophy with a cash award of Rs 2 lakh.
