DCM Q1 net profit reaches five folds at Rs 5.67 crore

DCMLeading textile firm DCM has announced its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11.

According to the report, it has registered a mammoth five fold net profit rise in the quarter under review. The firm is a leading player in manufacturing and distributing of cotton and synthetic yarns, textiles, aluminum and grey iron castings.

DCM has posted a net profit of Rs 5.67 crore for the quarter that ended in 30th June, 2010 which is almost five times of the net profit figure of the similar quarter in the last fiscal.

The company had registered a net profit of Rs 1.02 crore in the same quarter in the previous year. DCM has said this in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The total income of the company during the April-June quarter of fiscal year 2010-11 was recorded Rs 72.27 crore.

For the similar quarter in the last year, it was reported to be Rs 51.68 crore. There has been a rise of 39.84% in total income of the company in the June quarter of this year against its like period in the 2009 fiscal year.
