Deepika Padukone may have been in news for her alleged closeness with Ranbir Kapoor, but after the breaking-up of the couple it was expected that everything in between the two families was over too.

But that is not the case now since there is growing friendship between Deepika and star of yesteryears, Shammi Kapoor.

Shammi has accepted that he is very fond of Deepika and she shares the same thoughts.

Deepika has also made sure that their relationship is looked at by everyone and is happy to flaunt it. The friendship began when Deepika went to Ranbir's house.

Shammi Kapoor is the grandfather of Ranbir Kapoor and has accepted that he likes Deepika.

He has also shown his desire to meet Deepika over a cup of coffee. He wrote to her, "How are thee. Only get to see you in Mallaya match. Another cuppa another day? What say!" over a social networking site while chatting with her.

Deepika, however, politely refused the offer since she was busy because of the tough work schedule.

Why? What do we say; the bond between Deepika and Kapoor family seems to be very strong.
