Discover sales helps Bajaj sales to grow by 84%Bajaj Auto, which is the second largest two-wheeler company, has reported that its motor cycle sales increased by 84.07 percent to 242,390 units in November as compared to 131,681 units in the corresponding month of the last year.

The company has given the major part of the credit to its newly launched 100cc Discover DTS-Si and the Pulsar bikes. The 100cc Discover DTs-Si’s sales were at 94,265 units, and 50,153 units of the Pulsar were sold among the total sales of the Bajaj.

Bajaj’s three-wheeler also tasted a rise in the sales in the month of November. Its sales surged by 24.83 % to 242,648 units as compared with 132,421 units in the same month of the last year. The company has not provided the details, but it is reported that the company’s commercial vehicle sales continued to rise in various segments including, in-city, sub-urban and goods carrier categories.

Same was the case with company’s exports that went up by 46.18 per cent to 98,521 units in November in comparison with 67,397 units in the last year.

A blogsite reports that the new Bajaj pulsar 135 sports features like split seats and nitrox suspension with a redesigned and smarter fuel-tank. It has trapezoidal headlamps and the rear muffler and rear number plate which is placed like a sport bike.

The new bike’s additional features include LED tail lamps, arrow-shaped turn headlamps, XCD-like headlamps, muscular Pulsar fuel tank, gas charged rear suspension, digital instrumentation, split seats, sporty low, clip-on handlebars, alloy wheels, handlebar weights, spilt grab rails, sporty rear with high stance.

Bajaj auto limited places its brand Pulsar under the brand vision ‘‘to make India a country of bikers from a country of commuters’. It also plans to capture the sports segment of India on the Pulsar’s ride.
