Mr. Raja, a popular Dalit leader will be projected as hero of the people by DMK chief Karunanidhi in the election campaign in Tamil Nadu. DMK wants to use this 2G spectrum scam in the election to give it a new direction. Although Raja is in the CBI custody in connection with the 2G spectrum scam.

In spite of Raja’s arrest, DMK announces that he will remain the Propaganda Secretary, a powerful position.

Due to 2G spectrum scam, Raja’s reputation has been ruined by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) but it does not affect Karunanidhi's strategy.

DMK is very confident to gain votes in cities by using spectrum scam while Karunanidhi has clear intentions of using Raja in rural areas to intact votes.

Sources said that it is understandable that rural people have nothing to do with scam and thus Raja’s popularity will not be affected among them.

CBI is looking for the big hands involved in the 2G spectrum scam of Rs 1.76 lakh crore whose roots are in Chennai.
