Domino’s opens 300th store in India

DominoQuick Service Restaurant chain Domino's has recently opened its 300th store in India. Incidentally, it is also the Michigan-based pizza delivery chains 9000th store across the world.

Reiterating the food chains strong desire to grow aggressively in the country, Ajay Kaul, Chief Executive, Jubilant FoodWorks, the master franchisee in India for Domino's pizza said during the occasion that the company plans to continue its aggressive marketing in the coming days. With the new outlet Domino's is now the largest branded food chain in India, he said.

As per Kaul, the pizza chain is now present in 25 Indian cities including some tier II cities like Gangtok and Siliguri. It has posted a 42 per cent compounded annual growth over the last five years.

Domino's Global Chief Executive, Patrick Doyle, who was also present for the opening of New Delhi's Pitampura outlet, said that the franchisee owners have been the major driving force for the $5.5 billion company over the last
50 years. Domino's wants to open its 10,000th store in the first half of the decade.

The company is in the process to float its $66 million initial public offer in the country soon.
