Dr. Farooq Abdullah Inaugurates Suzlon’s New Wind TurbineIndia’s Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, inaugurated a new wind turbine developed by the Asia’s third- largest maker of wind turbines, Suzlon Energy Ltd. Dr. Abdullah had applauded the makers for their efforts and said renewable energy contributes enough for nation’s development.

In addition, he notified that at present, India is the fifth wind power market in the world and is a leader in exporting wind turbines to developed as well as emerging markets.

During an interview, in Mumbai, the Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of global player, Tulsi R, Tanti, said: "This development would not have been possible without the visionary policies and encouragement from our Central and State governments, as well as the regulatory bodies and nodal agencies. Rajasthan in particular has been a leader in driving wind power development, and we are happy to inaugurate our first S97 installation in the world here today”.

Further, the Company will be able to pay bondholders if they choose to redeem convertible securities, next year and outlined plans for raising cash and supporting orders. The Company holds four foreign currency convertible bonds maturing, next year. A report compiled by Bloomberg has notified that the floor price for their conversion between 76.68 and 97.26 rupees.
