Dr Reddy's signs pact with GSK

Dr Reddy's signs pact with GSK Dr Reddy's Laboratories, a leading Indian pharmaceutical company, has announced that it has entered into a strategic alliance with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to develop and sell select products across emerging Africa, Middle East, Latin America and Asia Pacific markets, excluding India. 
 
As per the agreement terms, GSK will gain access to Dr Reddy's portfolio and future pipeline of over 100 branded pharmaceuticals in the fast growing therapeutic segments such as cardiovascular, diabetes, oncology, gastroenterology and pain management. 
 
The sources said that Dr Reddy's will manufacture the products, which will be licensed and supplied to GSK. 

The sources further added that as per terms agreed by the companies, the revenues reported by GSK will be shared with Dr Reddy's Laboratories. 

In certain markets products will be co-marketed by Dr Reddy's and GSK.

Stock of Dr Reddys Laboratories settled the day in green at Rs 712, up 1.04% on National Stock Exchange (NSE). The total volume of shares traded on NSE was 563,854.
