EMA scholarship is money-making

educational-maintenance-allowanceIt was found in report that the cost of the government's educational maintenance allowance (EMA) is completely balance by its remuneration.

This was concluded in the Institute of Fiscal Studies. It found that the allowance has notably increased involvement in post-16 education.

From the coming year, the union is scrapping the weekly payments in favour of teenagers. This is done for the further education with an annual household income of less than £30,810.

It stated that the scheme is not cost efficient, but the IFS thinks opposite of it.

Definitely, it disclosed that the EMA has been accountable for enhancing the number of 16-year-olds staying in education. It has increased from 65 per cent to 69 per cent, and 17-year-olds from 54 per cent to 61 per cent respectively.

This study is based on the collisions and on assesses of the financial benefits of additional education. The IFS stated that the costs of providing EMA were likely to go beyond in the long run by the advanced wages so that its receivers would continue to enjoy in future.
