According to the officials the American head of an English language school in southern Japan has been indicted on child pornography charges involving his students.

Kyodo News reported on Monday that Police seized hundreds of videotapes and photographs from the Fukuoka home of the 69-year-old, whose name has not been released.

Police further said that the material included images of dozens of his elementary-age girl students.

Kyodo News further reported that the man was arrested in January on suspicion of committing lewd acts on his students, but was later released. He was arrested again and indicted in March.

Officials said that living and teaching in Japan for decades, he allegedly took students to his home with promise of private English lessons. (With Inputs from Agencies)
