Eurozone inflation stuck in negative territory at -0.1 per cent

Eurozone inflation stuck in negative territory at -0.1 per cent Brussels  - Inflation in the 16-member eurozone remained in negative territory in October, with preliminary figures out Friday showing a drop in consumer prices of 0.1 per cent.

Eurozone inflation was down 0.3 per cent in September, according to the European Union's statistical office, Eurostat.

Eurostat will release final figures for October on November 16.

The EU countries which share the common currency, the euro, are Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia and Finland. (dpa)
