FACT registers profit of Rs 3.68 crore in first quarter
The Central PSU Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), has announced its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11. According to the report, it has registered a net profit of Rs 3.68 crore in the quarter under review.
The company had suffered a net loss of Rs 34.54 crore in the similar quarter in the previous financial year of 2009-10. FACT has informed this in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In a press release the company has informed that it has recorded a loss in the month of April and May.
But later in the month of June it had posted a better production and sales performance which has covered up the loss figure. Overall it has posted a net profit at the end of the quarter.
The company has also informed that, it has sold out 1, 43,667 tonnes of Factamfos during the April-June quarter of the year against 1, 38,520 tonnes in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal year. FACT has sold 54,057 tonnes of Ammonium Sulphate in the reviewed quarter.
