Factory to be installed in Singur, says CM

Buddhadeb-BhattacharjeeTwo years ago, after a lot of controversy in Singur, Ratan Tata decided to move out of the site for his Tata Nano production. Gujarat eventually benefited from the loss of Bengal, as Tata Motors then decided to set up the new plant over there.

Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee at a rally promised people of Bengal to get a car manufacturing unit at the disputed site. He also said that the people should not be losing hearts so early.

He also gave hope to the farmers, who in their letters had requested the CM to start the factory as soon as possible for the development of the poor.

The CM also criticized the protest by a party that led to such a decision by the Chairman of Tata Motors. Unjust and violent protest in Bengal made a very beneficial project to shift towards Gujarat benefiting the people of that region.

This made the real estate prices in the Gujarat region record new highs as well. Left Front chairman Biman Bose, CPI state general secretary Manju Kumar Majumdar, CPM district secretary Anil Bose and other leaders of Left Front were present at the rally.
