FDC Heads Gainers In ‘A’ Group

Novartis IndiaBombay Stock Exchange was the top gainer from A group shares on BSE today. It soared up 14.42% to Rs 398.30. Titan Industries, GMDC, GMR Infrastructure and RPL are among the other gainers.
In the year ended March 2007, the company’s net profit slumped 17.93% to Rs 88.55 crore as compared to Rs 107.89 crore in March 2006. The total sales mounted 3.10% to Rs 542.24 crore in the year ended March 2007 versus Rs 525.92 crore in its corresponding period, last year. The company announced the FY 2007 results on 11 May 2007.
Titan Industries soared 8.78% to Rs 1279 and placed second amongst top gainers in ‘A’ group. Titan Industries' net earnings ascended 7.77% to Rs 101.38 crore in the year ended March 2007 as compared to Rs 94.07 crore. Sales rose 45.14% to Rs 2090.24 crore in FY 2007 (Rs 1440.18 crore). The company announced its quarterly results on 21 April 2007.
Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) came third among top gainers in A group after spurting 7.48% to Rs 837.35. In the year ended March 2007, the company’s net profit zoomed 198.61% to Rs 105.26 crore. Sales climbed 34.01% to Rs 584.60 crore in FY 2007. The company announced results on 30 April 2007.
The fourth place goes to GMR Infrastructure, which arose 6.49% to Rs 691.95. According to fresh reports, the GMR group is planning to invest in infrastructure private equity (PE) funds. The company has received propositions from various PE funds to invest in them.
Reliance Petroleum (RPL) gained 5.85% to Rs 106.75 and placed fifth among top gainers on BSE. The scrip is on an upward drift ever since May 2007 after the company signaled amazing development on implementation of its refinery project.
